Bio

I’m a Canadian-born fantasy and science fiction writer, currently living in the Boston area. While I enjoy both reading and writing within many genres and sub-genres, I admit to a particular fondness for high fantasy, most particularly for those multi-volume series of 800+ page novels that everyone loves to make fun of. Especially the ones with elves.

Although I am working on my own 800+ page novel (with elves!), everything I’ve published so far has been short fiction. I’ve listed all my publications below; if you’re interested in reading any of the stories, you can find links on the Start Reading tab.

For slightly more frequent updates than I tend to post here on my blog, you can follow me on Twitter, @KristinJanz.

I am also the co-owner of Enigmatic Mirror Press, along with my husband Donald S. Crankshaw. In 2016, we published Mysterion: Rediscovering the Mysteries of the Christian Faith–an anthology of fantasy and science fiction stories with Christian themes. Now the Mysterion online magazine brings you more of the same, plus related non-fiction content. You can stay informed about all our projects–including open submission periods!–by subscribing to our newsletter or connecting with us on Facebook or Twitter.
