I’ve finally collected so many rejection letters that they no longer fit in the 3-ring binder I’ve been using for them (it was a smallish 3-ring binder). I had to divide them between two 3-ring binders.

You rock, Kristen!! 🙂
The published stories binder is sure to need many companions, too.
Ugh… Kristin. Mistype. 🙂
Ummm….. Congratulations?
Just think, by saving the rejection letters, when you are a famous and rich author, you will know who to tell “you had your chance and blew it”
Do you print out the electronic ones? I haven’t gathered all my rejections into one place – they’re scattered. I had something like 87 on my novel before I quit. That was in the olden days before the Internet. I suspect those are still in the garage somewhere.
Yes, I print out the electronic ones, too. More satisfying than just creating an electronic file, somehow.
Yes, but by the time I become a famous and rich author (if that ever happens), I might also have become friends with many of the editors who’ve rejected my earlier stories. Fantasy and science fiction writing is a small world! So I wouldn’t want to be too smug. (Not to mention that I might look back and conclude that they were right in rejecting those early efforts.)
